A true taste of Morocco. If you have an exotic palate, this dish is for you. A great vegetarian soup. Made with apples, orange, sweet potato, and honey.

  • (About 10-12 hearty servings) approx. 394g
  • Directions: 1) In large pot, boil 11 C water; add 1 peeled, diced orange, chickpeas and fruit from package (pinch bag to remove top portion); bring to a hard boil, then simmer, covered, 45-60 min (or until chickpeas start to soften). 2) Add remaining package contents, 1 C carrot, 1 C onion, 2 C peeled and cubed yam or sweet potato, 2 tbsp honey, 3 tbsp butter; cook for 15-20 min. 4) Add 2 C peeled, chopped apple; cook 10-15 min longer, or until apples are soft. Add extra water as needed. Season with salt and pepper. Please note that some ingredients may be field harvested. For best results inspect for elements of nature before cooking.

  • Ingredients:Lentils, chick peas, mung beans, raisins (sunflower oil), dried ginger (sulphite), dried vegetable flakes (carrot, potato, leeks, peppers, celery, cabbage, sulphite), soup base (corn syrup solids, salt, sugar, unbleached wheat flour, dextrose, corn, starch, canola oil, guar gum, color, flavor includes onion, soybean oil), seasoning (contains garlic, mustard, onion).

    instructions de cuissons: Dans une grande marmite, faire bouillir 11 tasses d’eau; ajouter 1 orange pelée en dés, les pois chiches et les fruits de (pincer le sac pour faire sortir la portion du dessus); porter à vive ébullition puis faire mijoter à couvert pendant 45 à 60 minutes (ou jusqu’à ce que les pois chiches commencent à devenir plus tendres). 2) Ajouter le restant du contenu de l’emballage, 1 tasse de carottes, 1 tasse d’oignon, 2 tasses de patates douces ou de pommes de terre pelées et en, 2 c. à s. de miel, 3 c. à s. de beurre; faire cuire pendant 15 à 20 minutes. 4) Ajouter 2 tasses de pommes pelées et hachées; faire cuire pendant 10 à 15 minutes de plus ou jusqu’à ce que les pommes soient tendres. Ajouter plus d’eau au besoin. Assaisonner avec sel et poivre. Veuillez noter que certains ingrédients peuvent avoir été cultivés dans des champs. This is full of flavor, absolutely delicious. My favorite so far. The house always smells amazing when I make this. Throw in extra chick peas to thicken it up if you like.

Also vegan if you substitute the butter for oil. :)

Directions: (from the website, they differ from the bag)
1) Pinch bag below chickpeas and remove chickpeas and fruit.
2) Bring 8-9 cups water to boil,(says 11 cups on the bag) add 1 peeled diced orange, chickpeas and fruit, hard boil and simmer with lid for 45 – 60 mins (or until chickpeas are getting soft) .
3) Add rest of pkg, 1 C carrot, 1 C onion, 2 C peeled and cubed yam or sweet potato, 1 ½ Tbs honey, 2 Tbs butter, cook for 15- 20 mins.
4) Add 2 C peeled apple and cook 10- 15 more mins – or until apples are soft.

It would be nice if they suggested a grade of chop for the added items???
